Aromatherapy Massage:

This supremely relaxing full body massage lasts a full hour.  Also allow 15 minutes for the pre-treatment consultation (see below).    The total time for the session is 75 minutes.

I use a base oil such as sweet almond or grapeseed and then create a bespoke mix of essential oils depending on the consultation taken beforehand and the result required.

Treatments are extremely relaxing, de-stressing and calming, and you will leave with a feeling of total wellbeing. The massage is firm but gentle, this is not deep tissue or a remedial type massage.  It is suitable for ladies aged 18 plus.  The emphasis is on applying essential oils effectively whilst unknotting and working on major muscle groups. Music is generally played in the background unless you prefer silence. The therapist will let you take the lead on whether or not you wish to talk. Some people like to talk, but others prefer to take the time to relax in silence.

Before the treatment there will be a consultation about your general lifestyle, your health, any medical problems, any medication you may be on. You will then be asked to undress down to your underwear and helped on to the couch. You will be covered with towels or a sheet to maintain your comfort and warmth.

The clinic is in Daventry, Northants in my garden studio.  The surroundings are relaxing, peaceful and calm.  There is plenty of free parking outside.

After the treatment keep the oils on for the remainder of the day; if it is an evening treatment then keep the oils on overnight. This means you will get the benefit from the essential oils having longer to absorb into your skin.

This is a therapeutic massage – not the type you might receive in a spa or beauty clinic where the therapist might use a ready mixed aromatherapy blend – I am a fully qualified aromatherapist meaning that I have the indepth knowledge of the chemistry of hundreds of essential oils which allows me to blend and mix essential oils especially for the individual depending on their medical history, and the result they wish to obtain.
