Basil Essential oil is often known to be a stimulating and energising oil which can help you to focus. Bay - Laurus nobilis Oil  10 ml pure Essential Oil

Bay Essential Oil has a powerful, spicy odour, just like the Bay leaves used in cooking. Bay Oil has uplifting and grounding properties and is said to clear mental confusion and clarify thought processes.

It's sometimes seen as quite a masculine oil and should be used well diluted in treatments for the skin. Also used in anti dandruff treatments and to improve poor circulation. In ancient Greece athletes were crowned with wreaths of bay.

Bergamot - Citrus aurantium bergamia  10 ml pure Essential Oil

Bergamot Essential Oil has a lovely, fruity aroma with a very slight balsamic undertone. It's great for use in skincare massage preparations or body lotions as it has a wide range of properties beneficial to the skin.

It's an uplifting and refreshing oil which you may also find useful during the colder weather to give you a little lift. It can also help maintain a balanced mood. Commonly used in candles and soap making, Bergamot is great to burn or vaporise to banish household smells - especially tobacco.

Black Pepper - Piper nigrum.  10 ml Pure Essential Oil

Cypress - Cupressus sempervirens  10 ml pure Essential Oil

Cypress is a great oil to use to uplift you when you are feeling tired or depressed. Blends well with many other essential oils including woody or mint oils, citrus (especially grapefruit) and floral oils.

Eucalyptus - Eucalyptus globula.  10 ml Pure Essential Oil

Eucalyptus essential oil is often made use of during the winter months to help to clear nasal passages; you can try diluting it with a carrier oil and massaging over the chest as well as using in a steam inhalation (add 2-3 drops to a bowl of hot water, place towel over your head and inhale the refreshing aromas).

Well known and loved for its incredibly fresh and invigorating aroma; when vaporised, Eucalyptus may be helpful in promoting clarity of thought as well as helping to open the nasal passages. Its also believed useful for helping ease stiff joints and aching muscles; a great one for use after sport and other physical activities. 

Have the bottle at hand to have a sniff from to help clear the airways (useful especially at night if you're suffering from a cold). You could also add a few drops to a cotton ball and place under the pillow. Ad 2-3 drops to a bowl of hot water, cover head with towel and use as a steam inhalation. Add a few drops to a bath to enjoy its invigorating and refreshing properties. Dilute with a carrier oil and use in massage to help refresh, restore and ease sore muscles. Lavender - Lavendula angustifolia 10 ml pure Essential Oil

Neroli - Citrus Aurantium - 5% in Grapeseed.  10 ml Diluted Absolute

The beautifully citrus-floral scent of Neroli is loved by many; its a great oil to use in both masculine and feminine blends if you're thinking of using it in perfumery or bespoke soaps. 

Its uplifting scent makes it a great oil to use if you're in need of an emotional lift; it may help offer strength and its also a lovely oil to use to set the mood for a romantic evening.

Perhaps most notably is its use in skincare; renowned for its moisturising properties, Neroli is a wonderful addition to skincare products for those with dry or mature skin.

Niaouli - Melaleuca viridiflora.  10 ml Pure Essential Oil

Petitgrain - Citrus aurantium var. aurantium 10 ml pure Essential Oil

Petitgrain essential oil resembles Neroli and is a very useful aromatherapy oil in its own right. it is especially good for for oily skin and greasy hair.

Petitgrain aids relaxation and is a good stress-reliever with excellent uplifting properties. You may find it particularly useful for the 'Winter Blues' or S.A.D.

Sandalwood Amyris - Amyris balsamifera  10 ml pure Essential Oil

Steam Distillation.  Middle/Base Note.

 

Sandalwood Amyris Essential Oil comes from a small bushy tree with white flowers growing wild in Haiti. A less costly substitute for Sandalwood Vanuatu or Sandalwood Mysore, Sandalwood Amyris is good to use with a vaporiser or burner, either on its own or blended with cedarwood or other woody oils.

Can be used blended in a cream or lotion to help revitalise mature skin types. . Widely used in high-end creams and lotions as a cheaper substitute for true sandalwood. Sandalwood Australian or Sandalwood Vanuatu are better suited for blends that will be applied to the skin or used in the bath.

St Johns Wort (Hypericum) is well known for it's many versatile uses. It has been used throughout history and is rooted in folklore to treat all sorts from various skin conditions, depression, menstrual cramps, anxiety and sleep disorders (folklore also refers to how it was used to help ward off evil spirits).

Its natural calming properties make it useful in soothing bruises and swollen muscles and skin. it is also a popular ingredient added to anti-ageing creams. St Johns Wort Oil is generally produced in France. The hypericum buds and flowers are submerged in sunflower oil l for a number of days, then agitated by a pump and finally filtered to produce the macerated oil.

Thyme Essential Oil was one of the earliest medicinal plants to be used in Western Medicine. You may like to blend a few drops of thyme essential oil with one of our wide range of carrier oils or base lotions to create your own muscle rub or a chest rub if you're suffering from a cough or cold. 

Up until the first world war, hospitals would have used Thyme as a natural disinfectant and it is thought the ancient Egyptians used Thyme when embalming their departed loved ones.

It's purifying effects make it a great choice to burn if there are viral infections going around and its naturally stimulating aroma may be useful in offering a little energy boost throughout the day.
